The holidays are a season of love, cheer and giving, but they can also be a time of temptation. Your mind and body work better when they’re not clouded by alcohol. Sometimes it can be hard, to be at a party and not drink. Almost every holiday party I’ve been to this season has had alcohol offered freely. It’s important to have your mind right and to know there are alternatives. Any drunk that is made with alcohol can be made without it! Alas, the beautiful mocktail. Enjoy yourself and indulge without sacrificing your mental health, sobriety or happiness.
I’m partnering with Intellifluence and Palmer Lake Recovery to teach you how to make the perfect hand crafted holiday mocktail that will be your go to drink all season long!
Rosemary Pomegranate Holiday Mocktail Recipe
I love this rosemary and pomegranate mocktail because it smells and tastes like the holiday season. When I was making this drink the whole room began to smell of rosemary! Plus just look at that color! The perfect holiday hue! Bonus points that it’s a super easy drink to make and only takes a few ingredients!
Here’s what you’ll need:
In a mocktail shaker, combine equal parts Kombucha, Bai and two rosemary sprigs. I like to pick the rosemary leaves off but still add the whole spring, stem and all, because it adds so much flavor and reduces waste. Next, add ice and shake gently! The Kombucha is a little bubbly, so you don’t want to over-shake!
Use the mocktail shaker to strain drink out and serve in rocks glasses over ice! Fill the glass 3/4 of the way up and then top with seltzer water! Finish your drink off by garnishing it with a sprig of rosemary and some loose pomegranate seeds! Sip and enjoy this alcohol free holiday drink!
This mocktail is the perfect drink to serve all holiday season long or make for yourself at home! The best part about mocktails, there are so many different fun options to come up with! Like I said earlier, any drink that would contain alcohol can certainly be enjoyed without it!
In a serious note, addiction is a complex disease. It’s important to know that you’re not suffering alone. The folks at Palmer Lake Recovery do a great job of offering help to those that need it. If you or anyone you know could benefit from their help I encourage you to reach out. You cannot do it alone and there is such a great recovery support system offered out there. Take advantage of it.
I wish everyone a healthy, happy and safe holiday season!
